Learning Innovation Summit 2018

14th March 2018, Learning Innovation Summit 2018 in Kasablanka Hall Jakarta. Discussing number of critical issues regarding learning innovation & eduction policy today and tomorrow. The main speakers are : Minister of Communication and Information (Rudiantara), Minister of Industry (Airlangga), and Head of Tanoto Foundation (Sihol Aritonang).

Asia Liberty Forum 2018

Conducted on 10-11 February 2018 in Jakarta. Changing the world better is the main topic for Asia Liberty Forum 2018. Thanks to Pak Totok Amin Soefijanto (Team Gubernur DKI Jakarta), Selma Bardakci (Program Manager at The Asia Leadership Center), and Hafizz Dzulkifli (Operation Manager at Institute of Leadership & Development Studies, Malaysia). Hopefully we will meet again for further valuable discussion. 

January 2018, School Financial Management Assistance, North Sumatera

January 2018, principal assistance regarding school financial management in RGM Bloksongo Elementary School, Kota Pinang, Labuhan Batu Selatan, North Sumatera. Implementing school principal & treasurer duties to improve school performance effectively is the main topic. This is a part of school improvement program which is conducted by Tanoto Foundation systematically.

Indonesian School Accreditation Needs to be Improved

To address current Indonesian school accreditation weaknesses, what we need are :

  1. Changing the accreditation assessment from single visit to multy visits. 3 to 4 visits over a year is an ideal, either scheduled or unscheduled. Using the accreditation instrument, assessor team periodically capture school’s stable performance.
  2. Changing the accreditation assessment from document as an object of assessment, to be a supporting instrument of assessment. (e.g.) Assessment of school cooperation with external parties. Document of MoU, agreement, are not the main point, but it’s implementation and how significantly support the success of school program are.
